SPSARV Devotional Offers Compassion for Drinking Problems

SPSARV is offering a free Bible study, "Hope: Reflections on Addiction," featuring devotions by United Methodist church leaders. The 30-page devotional also explores the stigma and shame associated with addiction. This Bible study aims to break the silence of addiction and move toward an open conversation and confession that can result in healing during the holidays or throughout the New Year.

Four United Methodist bishops wrote a reflection for each theme: hope, health, healing, and wholeness. Each devotion takes an honest look at the struggle and grace that is possible. In addition to the personal reflections, writers from around the globe share a Scriptural message of hope. Each piece is followed by questions for reflection and discussion.
