The purpose of the Mending Broken Hearts Program isto offer a culturally-based way of healing from unresolved grief, loss andintergenerational trauma, especially for Native people from the US and Canada. The training will be facilitated by our professionally instructed trainers.

Who Should Attend:

  • Native Americans working in organizations that specialize in treatment, recoery and wellness.
  • Non-Natives working in Native American Communities
  • Professionals, Counselors and Therapists
  • Prevention specialists, families and community members

Cost: $450.00 (includes 18 Continuing Education Credits through NAADAC). Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodations and meals.

Wellbriety Training Institute will host a training on "Medicine Wheel and 12-Step" for Native communities on Mar. 6-8 in Colorado Springs, CO.The Medicine Wheel and 12 Step Training is designed to teach adults in recovery how to facilitate the Medicine Wheel and 12 Step program in their own communities.

Upon returning to their communities, they will set up Circles of Recovery where others in recovery can meet on a regular basis to work their way through the curriculum. The curriculum takes about 16 weeks to complete when implemented in a 2 hour weekly format. This training will be facilitated by professionally instructed trainers.
